Red getting down to bizness.. Ignoring all calls that seem "unimportant" during this hectic Monday morning ride.
We had fun shooting this little video. What started as a normal monday morning weekday ride turned out into a full-blown ride video. Enjoy!
First enduro event in Asia, Held in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. Just a stones throw from a bustling city center are some of the best trails Malaysia has to offer. It caters for everyone, all the way from riders new to the sport to even downhill riders who have their own designated dh trails. This is reflected in the variety of bikes and riders that can be seen frequenting the trails there, all the way from the light carbon XC hard tails to full on DH sleds.
This was a race that I had my eyes on for a while, first time I rode at Cikole was 2007 and its taken me 5 years to finally attend a race there.
Its not the purest form of DH racing per say, there is a nice long uphill pedal near the bottom of the track.
Apologies for the lateness of this communiqué, I wasn't in a great state of mind over the past few weeks. I have a few things on my mind that I would like to share with you guys, things that sicken me, the sad state of what Malaysian cycling is in.
Final race of the season, Team DVteq Fakawi went to Bandung Indonesia for this year's Asia Pacific Downhill Championship.
With the likes of Brandon Fairclough, Dan Atherton, Marc Beaumont, Neko Mullaly and Mitch Ropelato accepting the invitations this year, the Organisers have put up a great event!
Sorry for the lack of video footage. It was really pissing it on race day!
This turned out to be one hell of a race, saw the poster for it not two weeks ago and decided to check out flights to Perth out of curiosity, turns out they were quite cheap and away i went!
Just last weekend, Team DVteq Fakawi left for Chiang Mai, Thailand for the Chiang Mai Downhill Challenge at Mae-On, Chiang Mai.
Adam had to miss the race because we flew off just as he touched down from his long flight from Lebanon. Robby, Allen and Chiefy from FakawiBikes went along for the race with Roslee Blur and Wan Blitz in tow. Our team manager Rizal however, could not tear himself from his office desk.. No worries, we made sure his presence was there - check the race video to see why!
