OAKLEY BIKING SHORTS
Found a cool shop that sells a wide selection of (original) Oakley biking shorts and jersies the other day.
This is the pair of Oakley shorts that i picked up from the place.

i chose one with plain simple but elegant design over a few other flashy ones with loud graphics.

close up of the rip proof nylon material that both lightweight and breathable.

when things get too hot for the gonads, all you need to do is to let out steam by zipping down the heat vents on both sides of the upper leg area quite near the groin. (you can't take a leak out of these vents however because of the inner layer of mesh + cycling padding).

voluminous side pockets on both sides secured by long strip of velcro.
There are two more zippered side pockets lower down on each sides.

the inner lining is pure comfort. instead of the regular thick lycra in some shorts, this pair of Oakleys come with mesh inner shorts that feel like a second skin. The padding is designed ergonomically and is made of elasticinterface ( www.elasticinterface.com ) material. Comes with a cool Oakley logo too..

The coolest feature of this pair of shorts is that it comes with it's own Oakley tyre lever!
I'm always breaking my tyre levers so I may need more than one..
Looks like I'll have to go back and buy another pair of this shorts.
Price: RM270 after discount

OK. I got a pair of OAKLEY KO Short from CoolShades the other day. Was too free at KLCC so thought I'd check it out and found this.

What it is is essentially the same inner lining that comes with some Oakley biking shorts, like the one Chief showed off here. Except this one is sold on its own. As u can see from the 2nd pic, its got the 3 red buttons that are meant to attach to the inside of those very expensive Oakley shorts.

So for RM129 (got it at 10% off original RM140), u get half the shorts that Chief got.
I figure I've got so many pairs of shorts that I can use for riding anyway, just need the padding on the inside, minus the underwear riding up into my ass crack. So I got these that I can wear to replace those regular "sportspanders". And I don't need to button them onto anything as these cling on pretty well on their own.

AND I get that supercool tyre lever. =P

| I got one of these too. Mine's slightly different as the inner lining can be detached from the pants. Paid 270, but I think it's well worth it consider with this price, you actually get 2 items. Comfort level is unbelievable, very well ventilated and comfortable cut. |
how about lienster's ?
Mine's the exact same one as the inner lining in Chief's shorts.
The lining from Chief's shorts can be unbuttoned and removed from the outer layer, and mine is the inner one only coz I got this as a separate instead of with the shorts.
Comprende?
Basically this means Chief paid RM270 for inner and outer, and I paid RM129 for just the inner.
I couldn't afford RM270, so thought I might as well get the inner one so I can wear with any other berms I got that doesn't have padding for riding. Of coz it's not as good coz my other berms are not Gore-Tex type waterproof, but I don't care lah.. no money cannot expect too much. hehehe This would be a cheaper alternative lor. |

It's really very breathable material, also means its thin, hence ppl can see ur KKJ if u wore this on its own.
Besides, its really meant ONLY for inner layer. If u can wear this on its own, wouldn't tt mean tt Chief is wearing 2 pairs of shorts? Too hot and ridiculous lah wei.. hahaha can't believe u actually wna do that lor.. Seriously, ppl see ur KKJ surely scared lah. |

| Heheh.. I figured I got the ELAN shorts for around that price anyway, and its nothing great. Might as well spend that money on OAKLEY one, with good quality padding, etc and then just throw on a pair of my other berms, like the Columbia ones tt are meant for outdoor use anyway. Wear with stuff tt I already have, so no additional cost there. It makes good sense to me, but I guess diff ppl have diff needs. =) Whatever works for u, dude. |
