sounds like a rip off huh, DH?

if the trails suck, it's OK.. but if the organiser doesn't give shit about riders'safety then it's not worth it!
try somewhere else!

man, if everyone read what u wrote in the guest book, he'll have to close-shop soon! hehe
u need a really bad ass DH bike for the 'begineer' DH section. cos the locals are riding full on DH rigs with full armor and stuff and i kid u know 4hrs of madness downhill and i lost 3 rotor bolts and almost clean the rear disc brake pads that i just change a few mths b4. and disc rotor heat is a serious problem, most all cheapo shitmano disc got boiled and failed. V brakes user experience rubber burn in the inner tube cos the rim got so hot it melted the damn tube!! 1 guy change 6 tubes!
U don't really need that big bad ass Dh bike to do the beginner stuff .. I only use my All mountain oledi tame the expert trail like a magic carpet and I did the 4c old in 2 hour plus include climb the short slope hill exclude stops .. alot of stop ! ... The only thing that coz faulty on those brakes of ur is U been jaming ur brake too much ... reason if going Dh brake too much minus the fun .. so brake it like u riding a bike that have ABS so it wont burn ur disc or melted the rim .... change the direction of braking using diff front more or back .. so it safe ur brake ... those experience I have when I follow someone too slow at 4c or d at dh time in chiang mai ...

So the real answer is a bunch of XC riders with XC bike doing DH ... of coz u hang side of the cliff .. that kinda a trail U need atleast 5inc fullsus bike to save ur ass ...
Cheers bro just a 2cent of mine ... peace

me not dh rider so i need to learn from some DH folks definately, i think we took the intermediate route dunno what it call but i think its the same route as yours mostly. yeah a bunch of XC hardtail riders. plus the stop at the coffee shop along the way in the trail. but considering my weight is 130kg. gravity is a different animal for me ;p. yes i did brake a lot but its rarely slow me down once i get to a certain speed, braking force is non existance :( and like a wussy i did crash :(
