hello everyone,

i'm thinking of changing my pedals becos my feet keeps slipping during rides.
which is so annoying. i asked a bike shop and they recommended to change
to clipless but i don't think i'm quite ready for that yet. it takes practice
to get off of them kan?

or maybe the mtb shoes doesn't grip well enuff to the normal pedals?

can someone recommend me comfortable pedals? thank u!

i say go for the clipless.
it's not very hard to learn.
once you master it, you can be ONE with your bike.

practice on grassy areas.....

Yup u can follow what chief told u ... once master it .. u will feel comfortable wit it ( least a few fall ) and yes try more at the grassy area .. not on the road ..... or if u want flat ..try welgo or DX flat ... reasonable prices wit sticky platform but if u luv ur shins .. forget about it then ... coz it will print some nice art to ur leg....

Ms Bloom,

Nobody is ready when they converted to clipless. That translates to unavoidable stupid tumble due to brain cannot automatically register the need to twist your ankle to unclip.

It is not that difficult. The more your fall, the faster you will master it :).

What I can suggest to expedite the learning curve is to acclimatise yourselt to twisting the ankle. That can be achieved without having to cycle. Just mount, clip in, Hang on to something so that you won't fall over. Then, clip, unclip, clip, unclip. Try doing that without looking at your pedal. Pretend as if you really cycling. Reverse pedal for the feel of foot being glued to the pedal. Do this for 10 minutes. Then try pedalling while you are clipped. Try clipping and unclipping while pedalling. Again, remember not to look at the pedal while clipping in and out. GOOD LUCK!!!

p.s. I should have done this when I first went clipless.
