Friday, one week before our flight. Its been a relaxing two months back home in Penang, last big race was the Asia Pacific Downhill Challenge at the end of November and the first race of this season for us will be on the 12th of Feb in Rotorua. First race of the year is always a hard one to get back your race head and start pinning it properly. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we will be able to adapt to the cold and living on the road there. Well its finally time to leave Penang, no matter how much you travel packing to go racing abroad never really gets any easier. There is always so much to pack and hoping you don't miss anything.

It sometimes surprises me how much technology we take along when we go racing. Laptops, go-pros to record all the antics and maybe some riding too, all the chargers and connecting cables, earphones to keep you sane during all those long waits at the airports. On top of that we have to pack quite a lot of warm clothing, being cold is probably one of our biggest worries. Then come the usual riding gear and clothes, spares for the bike, wet tires ect. All of which has to fit in our 20kg check in allowance and a 20kg sports equipment allowance, wonder if i can fit in some Ayam Brand canned food in case we miss home. Daunting times indeed.
